Jekta Storsenter, Northern Norway’s largest shopping centre, wanted a digital alternativ to a magazine this summer. The solution? A “staycation” campaign, celebrating “the perfect Northern summer” (spoiler alert: it’s not like summer in the Southern regions) and what the centre had to offer linked to local landmarks, events and occasions. Together with the centre, we arranged Instagram-specific photo shoot and the campaign ran for 6 weeks online from June to early August 2016.
Over 20,000 unique users visited the centres homepage during the campaign periode and over 40,000 locals have seen the campaign in social media. And most importantly, Jekta showed everyone that the summer can be quite enjoyable up north as well (regardless of the weather)!
